Cambodian Physical Therapy Association
Physical Therapy was unknown in Cambodia 20 years ago. It was a country with high rates of agricultural, industrial and road accidents. The lack of rehabilitation left many with preventable disabilities. We have supported the growth of Physical Therapy in Cambodia from its beginnings to where it is today; training physiotherapists and running educational conferences through the CPTA.
Maternal Care Clinic in Ethiopia
We are working with an Ethiopian non-profit, Vision for Bright Future, to build a much needed Maternal Care clinic in Agarfa. The current space is an empty concrete building with no running water and is barely functioning. Maternal and child deaths are very high in the region, where child marriage and female circumcision are still practiced. There is almost no knowledge of nutrition, hygiene or peri-natal care. This project has the support of the community and the local and regional government.
