Emergency response
Many of our projects have started from sending medical teams into a country after a natural disaster. We are able to respond very quickly and are often some of the first to arrive. Once we are involved with a community, we remain invested for the long term to help them develop their own projects.
Community based projects
Rose Charities NY Inc. supports community-based projects in 10 countries. Our aim is to assist under-privileged children, young adults and families in the USA, Haiti, Asia and Africa. Our focus is education and health.
All the projects have the same essential components:
- dedicated local leadership
- support from the community with many local volunteers
- an ability to stretch a small budget to achieve big results
Where your donation goes
Almost everyone in Rose Charities New York is a volunteer, so your donation is not wasted on overhead. We try to send as much of your donation as possible directly to the projects.
The projects include: pediatric nursing training in Haiti, video-making workshops with Native American teenagers in Oregon, an eye clinic and rehabilitation surgery inCambodia, eye care in Nepal, micro-credit in Sri Lanka, orphanages in Vietnam and education projects in Africa and Guatemala. Check each country for more details of the projects and how you can get involved.
If you would like your donation to go directly to a particular project, please let us know and we will assure it gets there.
