AMDA’s 4th and 5th medical relief teams have now reached Sendai and are working there both in the city suburbs and the surrounding area.  Work is both in delivering direct medical services as well as bringing in materials and supplies which are hugely needed. Food, water, blankets, clothing is all in extremely short supply in many areas.   In addition temperatures at night are dropping  below zero and hypothermia is a real danger. Survivors are enduring snow and freezing temperatures. Temperatures have dropped in the past few days Global Medic Canada yesterday contacted Rose Charities / AMDA Canada and has generously offered to help with supplies and expertise.  AMDA HQ Japan is now in the process of seeing where this help may best be utilized.
